Cleanings & Exams

Good dental health starts with two things: proper oral hygiene at home and regular cleanings with your dentist. During each cleaning appointment, we’ll remove the plaque and tartar that build up on your teeth over time (no matter how much you brush) so that you’ll feel fresher and give yourself a better shot at avoiding cavities. Plus, we’ll do a full oral health exam to check for any trouble on the horizon so we can take care of it right away. Typically, we suggest scheduling a cleaning appointment every six months or so.

Pediatric Dentistry

We love helping kids lay the groundwork for a lifetime of good dental health through both dental care and oral health education. We typically suggest bringing your child in for an initial dental exam around their first birthday so we can evaluate their overall dental health. When your child is ready to start coming in for cleanings, try bringing them with you to one of yours first, so they can get comfortable being at the dentist’s and seeing that a cleaning is no big deal!

Fluoride

Fluoride treaments

Fluoride treatments can help rebuild the natural enamel of your teeth, preventing cavities and keeping your teeth strong and healthy. Also found in tap water, fluoride contributes to a process called remineralization, or the natural restoration of the hard outer layers of your teeth. We suggest getting regular fluoride treatments, typically during your cleaning appointments, to help support your long-term dental health.

Sealants

We use sealants to protect hard-to-brush areas of your teeth. If a tooth, especially a molar in the back of your mouth, has a crevice or a crack in it that you won’t be able to reach with your brush, we can cover it with a coat of plastic resin that protects it from bacteria by creating a physical barrier that blocks them from coming into contact with the surface of the tooth.

Fillings

Composite Filling (Posterior)

Composite Filling (Anterior)

If you develop a cavity that needs to be filled, we offer resin composite fillings that will get the job done with elegance and discretion. Made from a safe, nontoxic, tooth-colored material called dental composite, these fillings blend in with your natural teeth, filling in the hole left by the cavity to prevent infection while supporting the existing tooth structure.

Dentures

Bridge Vs. Implant

Implant Surgery

Implant Supported Bridge

Dentures are an effective solution for missing teeth that can help give you back the appearance of a healthy, natural smile. Customized to fit your specific needs, dentures can be used to replace a few missing teeth or a whole mouthful. Typically, dentures use suction to attach themselves to the inside of your mouth, but they can also be combined with dental implants for a sturdier fit.

Bite Guards

Unconsciously grinding your teeth at night, also called bruxism, is a condition that affects millions of people and can create tension, discomfort, and even damage to your teeth over time. We can make you a custom-fitted bite guard to wear at night while you sleep, which will protect your teeth from grinding or clenching.

Crowns & Bridges

Single Crown

Bridge (Anterior-Impression)

Crowns are used to restore heavily damaged teeth to their proper function. Essentially an artificial tooth made from porcelain, crowns fit over the top of your natural teeth, like a hat, and can fix a broken tooth so that it both functions and blends in with the rest of your mouth. Each crown can be customized to whatever appearance you want, and can also be part of a cosmetic smile makeover. For patients who are missing teeth, we can also create a bridge, or a row of crowns that have been fused together and can fill in a gap in your smile.

TMJ Treatment

The TMJ, or temporomandibular joint, is the hinge that connects your lower jaw to your skull. When this joint becomes inflamed, it can cause a lot of pain and discomfort. We offer various treatments to help alleviate TMJ pain, depending on the severity of the problem. We can make custom mouthguards to help with nighttime clenching or grinding, and we can also adjust your bite if it’s causing problems. Other forms of treatment include the use of anti-inflammatory medications, jaw exercises, or management of stress.

Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea is a condition in which you stop breathing for short periods of time during sleep. This can happen dozens or even hundreds of times per night, and can lead to a number of serious health problems. It’s important to get treated for sleep apnea as soon as possible, and our team can play a role in that treatment.

Upon confirmation of this diagnosis, we can make you a custom mouthguard that will help keep your airway open at night. The appliance is comfortable, non-invasive, and begins working from the very first night it is worn.

Tooth Extraction

Surgical Removal of Wisdom teeth

A tooth extraction is the removal of a tooth from the socket. Extractions are performed for a variety of reasons, but the most common is because the tooth is too damaged to be saved. Other reasons for extractions include crowding, infection, or orthodontic treatment.

We will always try to save a tooth before resorting to extraction, but sometimes it is the best course of action. The extraction process is usually quick and painless, and we will make sure you are comfortable throughout. We also offer sedation options for those who experience anxiety during dental procedures.
